What drives the price
- Number of fixtures and their quality (brass and copper last longer than aluminum)
- Transformer size and zones
- Wire runs, especially under existing patios or driveways
- Controls: timers, photocells or app control
- Built-in lights in steps, walls and caps
Plan it in, don't add it on
Step lights, wall-cap lights and wiring under the patio cost far less when they go in during the build. We plan wiring runs before the stone goes down, so there's nothing to cut or retrofit later.
What it costs to run
Modern LED low-voltage fixtures use very little power and last for years, so running costs are small compared with older halogen systems.
