This policy explains what information CMC Enterprises LLC, doing business as CMC Backyards (“we”, “us”), collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the emails and calls that follow from it.
In short: we collect what you give us to plan your backyard project, we use it to contact you about that project and send occasional backyard ideas, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, town, project address and anything you write about your project.
- AI backyard designer: your name, phone, email and town, the photo of your yard you upload (or the street address you enter for an aerial view), the features and style you choose, and your description.
- Calls, emails and texts you exchange with us, and notes our team keeps about your project, such as quotes, site visits and payments.
Information collected automatically
- How you found us: when you arrive from a link (for example Instagram, Google or a flyer QR code), your browser remembers the source and the page you landed on for up to 90 days. If you send a quote request or design, that source is saved with it so we know which advertising works. This is stored in your own browser's local storage, not a tracking cookie, and is not shared with advertisers.
- Technical information: like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use your IP address to limit abuse (for example, the number of AI designs per day) and to stop spam.
- Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It may check your browser and set a short-lived cookie for that purpose only.
We do not use advertising cookies, Google Analytics, Facebook pixels or other cross-site trackers, and we don't buy personal information about you from data brokers.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, call or text you, schedule visits, prepare quotes, 3D designs and contracts, and do the work.
- To create your AI backyard design and save it so you and our team can see it later.
- To send our monthly email with backyard ideas, if you asked for a quote or design. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't affect messages about your project.
- To understand which advertising brings in customers (counted by source, not used to profile you).
- To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that run parts of our business for us, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and our customer database, stores uploaded photos and designs, provides spam protection, and runs the AI model that creates your backyard design.
- Microsoft 365 sends and stores our business email.
- New York State ITS GIS looks up addresses and provides the aerial photos used for address-based designs. OpenStreetMap provides the map tiles you see while framing your yard.
- Font and code libraries (Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr) deliver the fonts and code that some pages need. Like any website you visit, they receive your IP address when your browser loads them.
- Our employees and the subcontractors or suppliers working on your project, when needed to do the work, and our accountants, lawyers and insurers.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or someone else's, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Your yard photos and AI designs
Photos you upload are sent to our AI provider only to create your design. We keep your photo and the design so you can see them again and so our team can use them to prepare your quote. We won't put your photos or designs in our gallery, ads or social media without your permission. AI designs are concepts for inspiration, not plans or quotes (see our Terms of Use).
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, we may text you about your project. Mobile information and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing. See our Text Message Terms. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and designs while we're working with you and for as long as needed for warranties, records, and legal and tax purposes, generally up to 7 years after a project, or about 3 years after our last contact if you didn't become a customer. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).
How we protect it
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Customer records are kept in access-controlled systems that only our team can sign in to, and email-service sign-in tokens are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow New York's data-security requirements and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects your information.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete: email hello@cmcmasonryli.com or call (631) 260-7777 and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm it's you, and we may keep information the law requires us to keep (for example, signed contracts and payment records).
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or ask us.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Source tracking: clearing your browser's site data removes it.
California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law, and you can request access to or deletion of your information as described above. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Do Not Track: we don't track you across other websites, so we treat every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Children
This website is meant for homeowners and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we'll tell you before it applies.
